1. Important Notice About Our Role
SolCov Solar Guides is a solar referral, advertising, and lead-generation service. We help consumers and property owners express interest in solar products and services and may refer them to independent third-party solar installers, solar dealers, energy consultants, financing providers, or related service providers.
Unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement signed by an authorized officer of SolCov Solar Guides:
- SolCov Solar Guides is not a solar installer.
- SolCov Solar Guides is not a licensed solar contractor, electrical contractor, roofing contractor, general contractor, engineer, architect, tax advisor, lender, loan broker, insurance broker, utility company, government agency, or professional advisor.
- SolCov Solar Guides does not install, design, engineer, inspect, permit, finance, repair, maintain, warrant, or service solar energy systems.
- SolCov Solar Guides does not make bids, negotiate construction contracts, contract for solar installation, or act as a contractor for any solar project.
- Any contract for solar panels, batteries, roofing work, electrical work, permitting, utility interconnection, financing, warranties, maintenance, or installation is solely between you and the applicable third-party provider.
Participating providers are independent businesses and are not employees, agents, partners, joint venturers, or representatives of SolCov Solar Guides.
2. Eligibility
You may use the Services only if you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. By submitting information about a property, you represent that you are the owner, an authorized occupant, or otherwise authorized to submit information and receive communications regarding that property.
You may not use the Services on behalf of another person without that person’s permission.

4. No Guarantee of Match, Quote, Savings, Eligibility, or Installation
SolCov Solar Guides does not guarantee:
- That you will be matched with any provider.
- That any provider will contact you.
- That any provider will offer solar products or services to you.

- That your roof, property, electrical system, utility account, credit profile, homeowners’ association, municipality, or utility will qualify for solar.
- That any installer is the lowest-cost, highest-rated, or best provider available.
Any solar savings, energy production, cost, rebate, tax, or financing information shown through the Services is general, preliminary, and subject to verification by qualified professionals and the applicable provider.
5. Independent Third-Party Providers
Any installer, dealer, consultant, lender, financing provider, or service provider that contacts you is an independent third party. We may perform limited screening, credential review, or other diligence on participating providers, but we do not guarantee their licensure, insurance, bonding, qualifications, financial condition, performance, workmanship, representations, pricing, warranties, compliance, or suitability.
You are responsible for evaluating any provider before entering into a contract, including by:
- Verifying applicable licenses, registrations, insurance, bonding, complaint history, and references.
- Reviewing project designs, proposals, contracts, financing documents, warranties, cancellation rights, lien notices, and all related disclosures.
- Confirming all tax, rebate, utility, permitting, homeowners’ association, and interconnection requirements.
- Consulting your own legal, tax, financial, engineering, roofing, electrical, or other professional advisors as appropriate.
SolCov Solar Guides is not responsible for any act, omission, statement, failure, delay, breach, warranty, product, service, installation, repair, financing, lien, property damage, personal injury, data practice, or legal violation of any third-party provider.
6. Referral Compensation and Potential Conflicts
SolCov Solar Guides may receive compensation from participating providers, including lead fees, referral fees, marketing fees, appointment fees, success fees, commissions, revenue share, or other compensation. The amount or availability of compensation may influence which providers receive your information, are displayed on our website, or are prioritized in communications or referral flows.
We do not represent that we compare every available solar provider or that our referrals are impartial, exhaustive, or based solely on price, quality, customer reviews, or suitability.
7. No Government, Utility, or Manufacturer Affiliation
SolCov Solar Guides is a private company. Unless expressly stated, we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or acting on behalf of any government agency, public utility, tax authority, rebate program, solar panel manufacturer, battery manufacturer, or financing institution.
You should independently verify any incentive, rebate, tax credit, utility program, or financing information with the applicable government agency, utility, tax advisor, lender, or provider.
8. Solar Information and Estimates
Website content, calculators, estimates, advertisements, savings examples, incentive descriptions, and other information are provided for general informational and marketing purposes only. They may be based on assumptions, publicly available information, user-submitted information, third-party data, or generalized market data.
Actual results may vary based on factors including electricity usage, utility rates, rate-plan changes, net-metering rules, system size, system design, panel orientation, shading, roof condition, weather, equipment degradation, maintenance, financing terms, tax liability, changes in law, incentive availability, installation quality, interconnection approval, and consumer behavior.
SolCov Solar Guides does not provide tax, legal, financial, engineering, electrical, roofing, insurance, or utility advice.
9. User Information and Accuracy
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You may not submit false, misleading, fraudulent, or unauthorized information.
You represent and warrant that:
- You are authorized to provide all information you submit.
- You will not submit information about another person without consent.
- You will not submit information for fraudulent, abusive, competitive, or unlawful purposes.
- You will not use the Services to harass, impersonate, or mislead any person or provider.
- Any phone number, email address, and property address you provide are accurate and may be used as described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
We may reject, remove, or refuse any inquiry in our discretion.
10. Consent to Contact
By submitting a request, inquiry, or lead form, you authorize SolCov Solar Guides to contact you regarding your inquiry by phone, text, email, mail, or other communication methods, subject to applicable law and your consent choices.
Where you provide express consent, you authorize SolCov Solar Guides and the participating providers identified on or through the applicable form, landing page, provider list, or confirmation page to contact you at the phone number and email address you provide, including through calls, text messages, artificial or prerecorded voice messages, automated dialing systems, automated messaging systems, and ringless voicemail where lawful, for marketing and informational purposes related to solar products, solar installation, quotes, financing, energy services, and related offers.
Your consent is not required as a condition of purchasing any property, goods, or services. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. You represent that you are the subscriber, customary user, or authorized user of any phone number you provide.
11. Revoking Consent and Opting Out
You may revoke consent or opt out as follows:

We may send a confirmation message after receiving an opt-out request. We may also retain information necessary to honor opt-outs, maintain suppression lists, comply with law, and defend legal claims.
12. Text Messaging Terms
By consenting to receive text messages, you agree that SolCov Solar Guides and participating providers may send texts related to your inquiry, appointment scheduling, quote requests, follow-up, marketing, and service information.
Text message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. You may reply STOP to cancel and HELP for help, where supported.
13. Email Marketing
We may send you commercial emails about solar products, referrals, offers, providers, reminders, and related services. You may unsubscribe using the link provided in the email or by contacting us. Transactional or relationship messages may still be sent where permitted by law.
14. Electronic Signatures and Communications
You agree that electronic records, signatures, checkbox consents, clickwrap acceptances, text replies, and other electronic actions may satisfy any legal requirement that a communication, consent, agreement, or signature be in writing. You consent to receive electronic communications from us.
You may withdraw consent to electronic communications by contacting us, but doing so may prevent us from providing certain Services.
15. Third-Party Contracts
Any solar installation agreement, financing agreement, lease, power purchase agreement, warranty, service contract, roofing contract, electrical contract, maintenance agreement, or other transaction is solely between you and the applicable third party.
You are solely responsible for reviewing all terms before signing. SolCov Solar Guides is not a party to those agreements and has no responsibility for cancellations, deposits, refunds, liens, delays, warranties, workmanship, equipment, financing, or disputes.
16. Financing and Credit
SolCov Solar Guides does not make credit decisions and is not a lender unless expressly stated in a separate written disclosure. Financing offers, if any, are made by independent third-party lenders or financing partners.
Financing approval, rates, fees, payments, tax treatment, dealer fees, credit checks, liens, UCC filings, and repayment obligations are determined by the applicable financing provider and your agreement with that provider.
Do not submit Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, credit card numbers, or other sensitive financial information through our general website forms unless the form clearly states that it is secure and intended for that purpose.
17. Tax Credits, Rebates, and Incentives
Solar incentives, tax credits, rebates, depreciation benefits, grants, net-metering rules, and utility programs are subject to eligibility requirements, funding availability, tax liability, utility rules, program changes, and applicable law.
SolCov Solar Guides does not guarantee eligibility for any incentive or tax benefit. You should consult a qualified tax professional and verify all incentives with the applicable government, utility, or program administrator.
18. Homeowners’ Associations, Permits, Utilities, and Interconnection
Solar projects may require permits, inspections, interconnection approvals, utility approvals, homeowners’ association approvals, structural review, electrical upgrades, roof repairs, meter changes, or other requirements.
Participating providers, not SolCov Solar Guides, are responsible for identifying and handling project-specific requirements under their agreements with you.
19. User Content
If you submit reviews, testimonials, photos, property information, comments, feedback, or other content, you grant SolCov Solar Guides a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, display, distribute, modify, and create derivative works from such content in connection with operating, improving, advertising, and promoting the Services, subject to our Privacy Policy.

28. Binding Arbitration
Except for disputes that may be brought in small claims court or claims seeking injunctive relief for intellectual property misuse, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Services, our communications, your information, consent, privacy, advertising, referrals, or any relationship between you and SolCov Solar Guides will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its applicable Consumer Arbitration Rules.
The arbitration will be conducted by a single arbitrator. The arbitration will take place in Hillsborough County, Florida, unless the parties agree to remote proceedings or the arbitration provider requires otherwise.
The arbitrator may award the same individual relief that a court could award, subject to these Terms. The arbitrator has exclusive authority to resolve disputes regarding arbitrability, interpretation, applicability, enforceability, and formation of this arbitration agreement, except that a court will decide issues concerning the class action waiver below.

32. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. For any dispute not subject to arbitration, the exclusive venue will be the state or federal courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
33. Changes to the Services or Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on our website with a revised “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
